How long do you use a children's bicycle?

Children generally use their first bike for about one to two years. It's important to regularly adjust the saddle and handlebar height to ensure the bike remains comfortable and safe for the child.

As children get older and develop more skills, they can graduate to larger bikes that better suit their needs and can cover greater distances.

Did you know that children typically go through eight different bike sizes in their first 12 years? Save money, time, and storage space with a Tiny Library kids' bike! Start with a balance bike and then move on to larger children's bikes. You can rent a bike starting from just €8 per month. You can also buy with a buy-back guarantee.

WHAT SHOULD YOU PAY ATTENTION TO WITH A CHILDREN'S BIKE?

When it comes to children's bikes, it's important that the saddle height is adjusted correctly. Your little one should be able to comfortably place both feet on the ground. Test whether the brakes work properly and check if the tires have sufficient pressure.

Safety first: even though it's not mandatory in the Netherlands, we always recommend wearing a helmet. Take the time to explain the basic traffic rules to your child: stay on bike paths, stop for red lights, and always look carefully around you before braking. Have your child cycle on the safe inside, between you and the sidewalk.
