5 baby products you don't have to buy (yet)

5 babyproducten die je (nog) niet hoeft te kopen
There's nothing more fun than browsing for hours (online) and dreaming away at all those mega cute baby stuff. The choice is huge and the temptation to throw everything in your shopping cart in just a few clicks is just as great. Before you know it, the boxes are piled high in the hallway and the package deliverer knows how to find the way to your house with his eyes closed. But did you know that there are a lot of baby items that parents do not or hardly use after purchase? A bad buy is therefore soon made. We list the least used baby products for you below, so that the chance of a bad buy is a lot smaller.

#1 Diaper Pail
To buy or not to buy? Opinions about the usefulness of a diaper pail are strongly divided. For starters, there are a lot of different diaper pails. Varying from simple variants that resemble the normal waste bin to the more advanced buckets with built-in cassettes that pack the smelly nappies odorless in no time. Handy, but is this item really indispensable? We don't think so. Dispose of nappy diapers in the container immediately outside or hand them in to a diaper container if available. And let's face it, that cute baby room looks a lot cozier without a diaper pail!

#2 Tummytub and baby bath
We understand why these two products should not be missing from the baby removal list, because your child will need a bath every now and then. In addition, it is also wonderful for your little one to relax in the warm water. The experience of many parents has shown that in practice a tummy tub and baby bath are only used for a short period of time. It can therefore be a sustainable solution to rent these products for a certain period. There are now also foldable baths such as the Stokke Flexi Bath. Ideal if you live in a small house and want to save some space.

#3 Bottle warmer
Again a typical case of handy, but totally unnecessary. Most of us have a microwave in the house. If not, you can always use hot water. You can easily warm the bottle in a pan with water. A drop on the inside of your wrist and you will immediately feel whether the milk is the right temperature. And of course it also saves money on the wallet!

#4 Babyschoentjes
We get it, baby shoes are super cute. But at the same time, they are also anything but functional. Often they are not comfortable and your little one will kick them out with ease. Opt for soft slippers or thick socks instead. Only when your child is standing or walking is it time to buy shoes.

#5 Breast pump
Most breastfeeding mothers use a breast pump at some point. If you want to provide your baby with milk when you are not around for a while or if you want to outsource a little more, a pump is indispensable. Buying a breast pump is a significant expense and often you only use the device for a limited period of time. You can therefore choose to rent a stock instead of buying it, especially if you need a stock for a short period of time, this is a smart choice.

At Tiny Library you can easily rent your baby layette. Safe, sustainable and often cheaper than purchasing new products. Curious about all products? you find them here.
